Dublin Airport Authority appoint HKTandT as Programme Manager

Dublin Airport Authority (DDA) has taken a major step forward in delivering its Euro1.2 billion, 10 year development programme, with a series of contractual appointments for the construction of a second passenger terminal and new satellite pier.

Healy Kelly Turner and Townsend is delighted to have been appointed to act as programme managers responsible for co-ordinating and integrating a distinguished team of contractors and consultants including Laing O'Rourke, Ove Arup and Pascall and Watson.

"The Dublin Airport Development Programme is the largest capital investment ever undertaken by this company and in terms of the range of projects deliverable within a very tight timeframe at a working airport, probably one of the most complex in the history of the State," said Declan Collier, Chief Executive, DAA.

"In that context, it is critical that the DAA's external partners in this challenging undertaking are of the highest international calibre".

"We are delighted the competitive tender process for the contracts completed to date has provided us with such experienced, high quality partners".

"We look forward to working with them in transforming Dublin Airport over the coming years into a 21st century transport gateway appropriate to the needs of our customers, of Ireland's capital city and of the overall economy of a progressive EU member state".

Healy Kelly Turner and Townsend brings enormous experience to the Dublin project, including international airport development in Kuala Lumpur, Johannesburg, Sydney, Manchester and an ongoing involvement in Terminals 5 and 3 at Heathrow.
