Two of Turner and Townsend's most prestigious projects in Sheffield were recently officially opened by HRH Princess Anne Weston Park Museum and Sheffield Cathedral Community Resources Centre are both hugely important buildings that are valuable community assets to the people of Sheffield

The GBP18 million refurbishment of Sheffield's Weston Park Museum was project managed by Turner and Townsend.

The listed Museum was completely redeveloped and showcases new displays throughout.

The new GBP4 million Sheffield Cathedral Community Resources Centre, which has a physical link to the Cathedral building itself involved careful project management.

The Resource Centre comprises a drop-in facility to provide breakfast for homeless people and high quality conference suites and function rooms for local businesses and community groups.

Specific project challenges included working with the Fabric Advisory Committee to gain permission for the historic building alterations and providing an innovative solution to deal with the geological fault running through the site.
