Turner and Townsend's Year in Industry placement, Nick Lyon, has won the Yorkshire Region "Contribution to Business" Award 2007

Turner and Townsend's Year in Industry placement, Nick Lyon, has won the Yorkshire Region "Contribution to Business" Award 2007 securing his place in the national finals to be held in London in September At a ceremony in the National Coal Mining Museum in Wakefield, Nick's winning submission and presentation focused on his contribution towards Turner and Townsend's programme management commission for the international clothing retailer, Gap

Providing specifically fire risk consultancy, Nick's role included working closely with the client, communicating at all levels, managing the programme and surveying team, and ensuring the reports were complete and issued on time.

Clive Porter, Managing Director of Management Solutions at Turner and Townsend, said: "The Year in Industry scheme has consistently provided us with many talented and conscientious individuals over the years".

"Nick joins a long list of successful candidates who have gone on to carve out a formidable career within industry using their valued training and guidance achieved whilst working with the team at Turner and Townsend".

After completing his Year in Industry with Turner and Townsend, Nick plans to become a management consultant and will take his the first steps with a degree course in Industrial Economics at University of Nottingham.
