Turner and Townsend reach finals of APM Awards
Turner and Townsend has received three nominations for the finals of the Association for Project Management (APM) Awards taking place in London.
The APM awards reward and celebrate project management success and reflect the invaluable contribution project managers make to the industry.
Martin Cross has been nominated for Project Manager of the Year based on his contribution to the Intra Wales Air Service commission to initiate flights between Anglesey and Cardiff managed from our Manchester office.
Turner and Townsend has been short listed for Community Project of the Year for the restoration of the 150 year old listed Birkenhead Park, which Central Park in New York was originally modelled on.
The Park's restoration has transformed it into a landscape of international significance.
In this category, Turner and Townsend has also been nominated for Dalby Forest Visitor's Centre in North Yorkshire, which has already won the RICS Yorkshire and Humber Pro Yorkshire Award for Sustainability and is now entered in the RICS finals in October 2007.
Bill Woolgar, Turner and Townsend Director of Project Management, said: "We are delighted to have been recognised for our project management expertise and eagerly await the award results.".
