A Turner and Townsend product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Nov 17, 2008

Turner and Townsend has been appointed to provide Fire Training services on the National Health Service (NHS) Fire Training Framework.

The four year framework, which commences December 2008, applies to all 72 NHS Trusts within the M25 boundary.

Turner and Townsend will provide a full range of fire training services through the framework including fire awareness and fire warden training, evacuation techniques and techinal fire training for managers including the standards of the firecode: Health Technical Memoranda.

Graham Taylor, Director commented, "We are delighted to have been appointed on the NHS four year Fire Training Framework".

"We have have been working with NHS for a number of years, and we look forward to continuing to provide them with a first class service".

Since 2005, there has been a requirement for all employers to carry out fire risk assessments and design and implement suitable controls in order to reduce those risks.

Organisations must then monitor and manage their fire systems in order to ensure effectiveness.

Turner and Townsend has been working with a number of organisations, both private and public, assisting them in meeting the requirements of this new legislation.
