Protection For HM Treasury

A Tyco Thermal Controls product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 14, 2003

Tyco Thermal Controls' heat-tracing systems and sensing cables have been installed at HM Treasury building.

Tyco Thermal Controls' heat-tracing systems and sensing cables have been installed by Axima Building Services for frost protection, hot water temperature maintenance and water leak detection in phase one of a major refurbishment project in Parliament Square, London.

It houses a major Government department and has the historic Cabinet War Rooms Museum in the basement.

A significant feature of the contract has been the placement of Tyco's TraceTek leak detection system.

This involved installing over 2.3km of sensing cable at ground floor level and within sub floors, to safeguard for the irreplaceable artefacts and exhibits.
