Self-Regulating Floor Heating Systems Installed

A Tyco Thermal Controls product story

United House has installed Tyco Thermal Controls' Raychem-T2 self-regulating electric floor heating systems in forty-seven suites on its new luxury apartment development in the City of London.

The consultant engineers specified Raychem-T2 Red heating cables in a screed under the tiling in 'wet areas' (like bathrooms) and Raychem-T2 Reflecta as the preferred system for use under the wooden floors.

These low-profile, energy-efficient systems provide zone power control and are completely safe for use under all common flooring materials, as self-regulating cables eliminate any risk of overheating.

The Raychem-T2 Red intelligent self-regulating heating system senses other sources of heat and automatically adjusts its heat output accordingly.

In this way it provides more heat where it is needed most - typically around doors and windows - and less under rugs and furniture.

Reflecta comprises the same self-regulating heating cable combined with a pre-grooved, thermally insulated, aluminium covered plate to reduce heat loss and provide optimum heat distribution.

It is ideal for use in 'dry' areas, offering energy savings in excess of 20 per cent.

The Reflecta plates can be assembled to meet all room sizes and are suitable for installation on most sub floors.

Raychem-T2 floor heating systems are PVC-free and emit no electric and negligible magnetic fields - making them completely safe for use in domestic properties.

Tyco Thermal Controls supports these systems with a 12 year manufacturer's triple-warranty.
