Tyco Thermal Controls' Raychem underfloor heating systems have been employed for comfort heating in a new Spa at the luxury Four Seasons Hampshire Hotel at Dogmersfield Park.

The new swimming pool, health spa, fitness centre and treatment rooms enhance the Hotel's already extensive facilities and are located in an adjoining 18thC stable block.

Jointing Technologies, a Tyco Thermal Controls' distributor partner, was commissioned to design and install a complete electric underfloor heating system to provide comfort heating throughout the new complex.

In the Spa reception a Raychem T2Reflecta+T2Red system has been installed.

This energy-efficient system comprises self-regulating heating cable laid into pre-grooved, thermally insulated, aluminium covered T2Reflecta plates.

The Raychem T2Red self-regulating heating cable provides zone power control, sensing other sources of heat and automatically adjusting output.

The use of T2Reflecta plates maximises energy-efficiency by reducing heat loss and giving more even heat distribution.

For the treatment areas, saunas and changing rooms, Jointing Technologies employed ultra-thin Raychem QuickNet mats with an output of 160 W/m2, laid in the filler beneath tiling.

Zone control has been achieved with the use of floor temperature sensors and DigiTemp controllers and the thirteen control zones each have an average of five separate circuits.
