Raychem freeze protection systems go
modular
Raychem self-regulating freeze protection systems for buildings have gone modular with the launch of FlexiClic.
The new versatile modular format makes it easier and quicker to install electric frost protection to exposed pipework and on the roofs of commercial, residential or industrial buildings FlexiClic modules simply click together to create the required layout and there are click-together Tee and 3-way junctions to enhance the system flexibility and deliver lower total installed costs

Frost Protection Systems Installed In Swindon
Tyco Thermal Controls' trace-heating systems have been installed for frost protection on the external chiller and heating pipes at Swindon's new Great Western Hospital.
The freezing of cold water service pipes and the formation, melting and refreezing of ice, or snow accumulation, on the roofs of commercial, residential or industrial buildings can cause significant and expensive problems.
Apart from any structural failure, burst pipes and water leaks in and around buildings can interrupt business continuity, disrupt lives and pose a safety hazard.
Raychem self regulating electric frost protection systems are designed to remove these risks.
Installed on pipework to prevent freezing and along gutters and down pipes for melting snow and ice and maintaining a continuous draining path, they offer winter protection for building infrastructure and also remove the safety hazard of overhanging icicles around the building perimeter.
In their new FlexiClic format these Raychem systems are an even more installer-friendly solution for all these applications.
Each heating module comes with high-integrity factory engineered connections and the system is simply extendable by clicking together two or more modules and getting a secure connection every time.
FlexiClic accessories include multi-output connectors and, where required, the connectors can be doubled-up and used in tandem to create a 5 cable output connection.
For distributors and wholesalers there is the practical convenience of ordering and stocking installer-ready modules and the limited number of accessories required to deliver a highly flexible system.
For energy-efficiency, the systems feature 'intelligent' self-regulating heating cables which power-up and deliver just the heat required at any point along their length.
FlexiClic systems are compatible with standard Raychem controllers and also the advanced 'Smart' units which activate the system only when sensors detect the critical combination of both low temperature and moisture.
