Tyco launches Cerapro underfloor heating system
Tyco Thermal Controls' latest Raychem underfloor heating system exceeds highest performance levels required by the latest edition of the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide.
Raychem's recently launched Cerapro conforms to the highest performance level of the new issues of the building regulations domestic services compliance guide for under-tile heating installations.
Cerapro is a domestic under-tile heating system which is easy to install and economically efficient.
The professional system provides total flexibility for rooms of all shapes and sizes, and also exceeds the minimum performance standards required for under-tile heating.
Cerapro uses an ultra strong, low profile, professional grade Fluoropolymer heating cable with a pre-installed electrical connection cable and comes with a Tape 'n' Mesh installation kit for quick fixing to the subfloor.
The kit also includes a cable spacing guide ensuring that the precise heat requirement is installed into the subfloor.
These features alone make Cerapro the most robust small geometry heating cable on the market.
Being only 3mm thick, the cable sits within the tile adhesive which means it does not require additional floor build-up or screeding prior to tiling, and therefore meets the requirements of the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide.
The latest edition of the Domestic Building Services Compliance Guide states that for under-tile electric floor heating systems: "Direct-acting electric underfloor heating cables should be provided with a pre-fabricated mattress, or equivalent IEC 60800 approved heating cable product, of thickness less than 4mm encapsulated in tile bedding adhesive or mortar, below a ceramic or other equivalent floor finish on a thermally resistive insulation layer".
Exceeding the test requirements of the IEC 60800 test protocols, Cerapro meets the necessary standards for any application including bathrooms, kitchens, conservatories and other applications where floor tiles are installed.
Cerapro comes with a 12 year Total Care warranty as standard and an extended 20 year Total Care warranty when installed by a Raychem Certifiedpro installer.
It is available in 6 pack sizes, ranging from 21m cable length (240W) to 100m (1140W).
