Tyco releases circuit management system

Tyco Electronics has released its new versatile Dorman Smith Loadlimiter 63 distribution system for commercial and industrial final circuit management applications rated up to 250A.

The distribution system provides multiple metering arrangements including single or split metering in either horizontal or vertical configurations.

With its new design and a comprehensive range of MCB distribution boards and components, the device easily helps to fulfil UK Building Regulations Part L2 requiring sub-metering of distribution boards for specific applications.

Loadlimiter 63 distribution boards have been redesigned to accommodate single module RCBOs and MCBs in line with the new requirements of the IEE 17th edition wiring regulations (BS 7671:2008).

All TP+N distribution boards now meet EN 60439-1 and incorporate extra spreading room for single module RCBOs, making installation much easier, especially when the boards are populated with many RCBOs.

Providing exceptional system flexibility, Loadlimiter 63 distribution boards feature a DIN-rail CT mounting facility, various isolation options and space for the new multi-function connection kit for 4-pole incoming devices and DIN-rail meter.

To complement the new range of distribution boards, TPandN accessories have been re-designed to provide improved functionality.

The 250A incomer housing and meter spreader box can now support two panel meters and current transformers.

In addition, the meter spreader box can also accommodate a DIN-rail 125A switch disconnector current transformer.

Service centres have also been extended to provide 18- and 36-way modular configurations, complete with earth and neutral bars.

Further technical details of the Loadlimiter 63 distribution board system include: ASTA certified busbars rated at 10kA for 250ms; tin plated busbars; a neutral and earth terminal (25mm) for each single pole way; clean earth facility; 4 to 24 way TP+N outgoing; and IP4X ingress protection.

The enclosures measure 484mm wide x 154mm deep.

Double earth kits are available upon request.
