New fire rated lift door goes large in the UK

The Platform Lift Company launch E160, a new lift door with an extra large glass vision panel which is fire resistant for 60 minutes.

With its clean lines and panoramic window, the E160 opens up a new opportunity to create an aesthetically pleasing solution within fire rated environments.

The door features inside hidden hinges and has no visible gaps or screws on the side panels.

Developed to comply with the Lift Directive 95/16EC and the European Standard EN 81-58, the E160 meets all the necessary safety standards.

It has been made for installation in self-supporting lift shafts or as part of a fire rated wall in a building.
