Drilling and sawing service centre opens in London

A Tyrolit product story

Diamond drilling and sawing equipment and consumables manufacturer, Tyrolit, opens new service centre in London.

To serve the building and construction industry in London and the south of England, diamond drilling and sawing equipment and consumables manufacturer, Tyrolit, has opened a new service centre at 24 Eastbury Road, London Industrial Estate, Beckton, London.

Heading the operation is Wayne Johnson, who brings with him over 20 years of experience in the manufacture and sales of diamond tooling.

The commercial rationale for the opening is the £5.4 billion of investment planned in the Lower Lea Valley for the 2012 Olympics, plus huge construction projects in Docklands and other areas of east London which help to make this part of London the largest regeneration area in Europe.

It is expected that the new Beckton centre will also serve building contractors from the south coast up to the northern home counties, and extends Tyrolit's coverage to five sites across the UK including Crick, Bradford, Crawley and Glasgow.

The London depot has comprehensive stocks of diamond saw blades and core bits, and offers a fast re-tipping service.

In addition, it has facilities for sales, repair, service and preventative maintenance of Tyrolit's Hydrostress drilling and sawing equipment.

This will speed the service provided to contractors in the South.

An extra advantage for customers in the Midlands and the North is that the London depot will free resources in Tyrolit's Crick and Bradford centres.

Commented Tyrolit UK's managing director, John Willis, "We are keen to send a clear message to our customers that we realise that service and availability are paramount to their satisfaction.

With our continued investment and expansion, we wish to provide a level of service that is second to none.

"Our new centre is conveniently located just off the A13, so we are hoping that small and large customers will use this as a drop-in centre and benefit from the rapid service that we can offer".

It is expected that the Beckton centre will include a fully stocked trade counter for other Tyrolit abrasive products such as cut-off, angle-grinding and flap discs.
