Ron Walker joins Unimer Board
United Merchants, UK's largest merchant co-operative and leading clearing house for the trade industry has appointed Ron Walker of Heating Plumbing Supplies to the Board.
Howard Grant, Managing Director of United Merchants plc, announced today (at Unimer's annual event at the Celtic Manor Resort in South Wales) the appointment of Ron Walker as a non-executive director to the Unimer board Ron Walker is the Managing Director of the highly successful Heating Plumbing Supplies Limited, a leading independent plumbing and heating merchant in the South of England, with 17 branches in the region

Born in 1947 in County Durham, ardent Sunderland supporter Ron now lives in Sussex with his wife Julia and two sons, Nicholas and Christopher, all of whom are involved in the HPS business.
When Ron is not hard at work, he can frequently be found on the golf course.
