Uninterruptible Power Supplies introduces an addition to its MaxiPOWER 5000 UPS range.

Uninterruptible Power Supplies introduces an addition to its MaxiPOWER 5000 UPS range Delivering 300kVA from a lightweight cabinet with a footprint of only 0.9m2, the new module is the highest-capacity UPS on the market offering the well-recognised benefits of PowerWAVE transformerless technology

The MaxiPOWER 5000 range now caters for all power protection requirements from 10kVA to 300kVA and upwards.

As standard, up to ten MaxiPOWERs can be paralleled, using a resilient Decentralised Parallel Architecture, to provide up to 3.0MVA output in capacity mode, or up to 2.7MVA in n+1 redundancy mode.

Even higher output power ratings can be implemented through the addition of extra MaxiPOWER units, either to meet growing capacity requirements or to implement redundancy.

Expansion can be simply achieved without exposing the protected load to raw mains.

As a result, there is no limit to the size of the power protection system, and MaxiPOWER therefore provides a future-proof solution which transformer-based technology cannot match.

No comparable UPS system on the market can compete in terms of implementation, energy and overall lifetime costs, while MaxiPOWER assures the highest availability of the protected load through redundant critical circuits and simple, cost-effective redundancy.

MaxiPOWER is designed to meet the requirements of data processing, telecommunications, medical and industrial applications, where it offers double-conversion efficiency up to 97 percent, input current THD less than 7 percent, 0.98 input power factor for reduced installation and running costs, high overload capacity, and a user-friendly Power Management Display.

Options include extended autonomy through additional battery racks.

The UK's foremost independent provider of power protection solutions, Uninterruptible Power Supplies supports MaxiPOWER modules with comprehensive design, installation and maintenance services.

Among these services is the PowerReporter UPS Remote Monitoring and Management Service which makes use of the latest Internet and mobile communications technologies for continuous remote surveillance of UPS activity.

PowerReporter provides a 'virtual' UPS engineer on site 24 hours a day, immediately delivering an alert to the company's Service Centre to trigger an appropriate, customised response to any important UPS alarm.

Users of the service are thereby assured of round-the-clock expert attention to their power system performance.
