Critical power specialist Uninterruptible Power Supplies has doubled the size of its Berkshire headquarters and recruited additional administrative and engineering staff.

Critical power specialist Uninterruptible Power Supplies has doubled the size of its Berkshire headquarters and recruited additional administrative and engineering staff in response to ongoing business growth.

The company has consistently posted more than 20 percent growth year on year, and forecasts the same for 2006.

Since October 2005, when former technical director David Bond became the company's managing director, Uninterruptible Power Supplies has recruited a new finance director and business development manager, and has expanded its contract and project management teams.

"We wanted our HQ facilities to better reflect our market leading position, to enhance our reputation for high quality, and to give us room for further expansion", David Bond comments.

"For example, we have just increased the size of our field service team, which I believe is now the largest in the UK dedicated to UPS service.

This investment in facilities and skilled staff is necessary to allow us to continue to support our rapidly growing installed base and to widen our service offering to users of other manufacturers' UPS." In a broad-based initiative to enhance its customer, environmental and employee oriented processes, Uninterruptible Power Supplies has complemented the ISO9001:2000 certification of its quality management systems with ISO 14001 certification for its environmental management systems and ISO18001 certification for its health and safety systems.

It also achieved Investors in People (IIP) recognition in June.

Now our IIP recognition has been confirmed we believe we are the first company in the UPS industry to have all four 'quality' badges, namely ISO9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS18001 and IIP."
