UKWTA launches new web site
UKWTA calls for companies and organisations to join the existing 105 members of the UKWTA to ensure that their voices are heard and the issues important to them are raised.
The UKWTA (United Kingdom Water Treatment Association) has launched its brand new web site.
The site provides a wide range of information across the water treatment sector, answers some frequently asked questions and outlines the scope of the four key technology areas it represents - chemical water treatment, water softening, water conditioning and drinking water filters and membranes.
In addition, and vitally, it is calling for companies and organisation, involved directly or peripherally in these four technology areas to join the existing 105 members of the UKWTA to ensure that their voices are heard and the issues important to them are raised.
Membership can be accessed directly via the new web site.
The site also provides updates on the wide number of issues it is involved in, many that are key to everyone in the sector, others that are quite technical, but which may have more relevance to the day to day running of water treatment companies than might at first appear likely.
The UKWTA is liaising closely with similar organisations across Europe and in the USA - in fact Technical Director Tony Frost has been appointed International Director of the WQA - the US equivalent to the UKWTA - which boasts 2500 company members.
Chairman of the UKWTA Carl Jasper says the web site is a key tool in the growth of the organisation and an information source that will grow in importance in the months and years ahead: "We're delighted to have the web site up and running and we would invite comment from anyone out there on additions to it that would be useful to them".
"We are keen to welcome on board new members at any time who want to have access to the huge raft of knowledge and expertise that is now sitting under the UKWTA umbrella".
"We are very keen that members participate and bring their own contributions to the table, in particular to the regular technology group meetings that we hold and for those who are unable to attend, we still want to hear from them through the web site or by email or phone, with issues they want us to address on their behalf, or to clarify where there is confusion.".
