Seminars on maximising software investment
Union Square Software breakfast briefing on best practices for increasing efficiency and guaranteeing RoI when purchasing software.
Specialist construction software author, Union Square Software, is to host a breakfast briefing focussing on the best practices for increasing efficiency and guaranteeing a return on investment when purchasing software at the RIBA building in London (66 Portland Place) on the 2nd December 2008.
The session, which is intended to help those companies who have already gone through the software implementation process, will include an educational talk from Andy Bover, IT strategy manager at Buro Four, the property and construction project management and consulting organisation.
Bover is responsible for managing Buro Four's ICT through a period of unprecedented growth and is faced with the challenge of a highly mobile workforce - 85% of their staff are laptop and Blackberry users - due to offices located in London, Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester.
Bover has led the move to mobile working, and therefore dramatically improved efficiency, using Union Square's Workspace to ensure that all 115 employees have access to the information they need, wherever they are.
Union Square's web-based information-sharing portal 'Workspace' is designed to help construction firms manage information effectively and avoid the problems that occur with traditional storage systems when valuable business correspondence is lost or misfiled.
The software provides construction organisations with a simple method of filing, archiving and retrieving all documents through a central software portal that can be accessed by any employee or external parties with access rights.
The seminar, which will be an informal gathering of construction industry professionals, will be hosted by Union Square to showcase a complete solution for business problems within the construction environment.
Commenting on the seminar, Will Yandell, commercial director, Union Square Software, says, "This seminar is open to anyone within the construction industry who is interested in improving the way that their organisation works, be that in terms of legislative requirements, remote working, document management or email access".
"In the current economic climate, it is perhaps more important than ever before to ensure that your business is operating in the most efficient way in order to achieve maximum ROI.
We want to share our knowledge, and our customers' knowledge, and show construction companies exactly how they can benefit from using their software to its fullest potential.".
