New profuse PET tool from Uponor
Uponor new, entry-priced pipe exposure tool (PET) is suitable for all diameters of ProFuse pipe.
K'nex director Wayne Hughes commented: "We needed to work with environmentalist groups and the Forestry Commission to cross a certain section of this strategic trunk water main.
Both parties' concerns were soon laid to rest when we told them our method would be pipebursting.
We found the ProFuse pipe with its protective outer skin invaluable, due to maintaining the integrity of the pipe structure.
The pipe coped very well with the geographical challenges." Uponor's Nigel Tonge confirmed that this was the first time Welsh Water had burst a potable water main at this diameter, and that ProFuse had proven highly successful for this purpose.
