Profuse Gas Pipe To Be Made In Smaller Diameters
Uponor's multi-award winning ProFuse PE 100 peelable skin pipe for gas will soon be available in smaller diameters, following approval by National Grid Transco (NGT).
By taking advantage of the efficiencies gained from plastic injection moulding, Uponor is now able to offer the PET to installers at prices starting from around GBP15 per unit.
The PET enables the skin layer on Uponor's ProFuse pipe system to be cut without damaging the inner core pipe.
Once cut using the tool, the skin is then peeled away from the pipe, leaving a perfectly clean surface for the highest quality joints and connections.
Uponor's original metal-bodied PET is still available and is designed to last a lifetime, with replaceable steel blade and optional butt fusion guide.
Both PETs are the only Uponor recommended tools for removing ProFuse skin in gas and water industry applications, and are safe, quick and easy to use.
