High-Security Retractable Bollards
URBACO are to present its High-Security Retractable Bollards at the Government Security Expo in Washington, DC In July.
The inventor of retractable bollards, URBACO is a market leader in access control systems using these short posts set at intervals to delimit an area (such as perimeter security around an embassy) or to exclude vehicles.
The company also supplies a wide range of fixed, removable and retractable bollards, with high aesthetics for site amenities.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the invention of retractable bollards in 1984 by Yvan Verra, the founder of the company, URBACO will present its automatic hydraulic retractable bollards at GOVSEC 2004, the Government Security Expo and Conference to be held in Washington, DC, July 28-29, and can be found at Booth 3432.
Designed to protect access of strategic sites against ramming, these high-security bollards meet the strictest requirements in terms of access control and resistance to impact.
With ingenious design and manufactured using quality materials, URBACO retractable bollards have exceptional resistance to impact and high durability.
Flexible and simple to use, the bollards can be incorporated in complete and sustained security systems.
In terms of security, they are extremely strong (three bollards withstood 675,000-joule impacts).
They can also withstand the impact of a 7-ton truck moving at 30 mph.
Important high-security premises such as the Pentagon, the Presidential Palace in Mexico, the Imperial Palace in Tokyo, the Forbidden City of Beijing, Banque Rothschild and many embassies around the world are already protected by URBACO high-security retractable bollards.
