New Baxi Group Glasgow training facility

Gas Certification Company has moved to new premises which include a Baxi Group training facility offering hands on experience with its domestic boilers.

Gas Certification Company of Blantyre near Glasgow, established by George and Elaine Loudon, is conveniently placed close to the motorway network for installers and contractors in Scotland and beyond.

The centre offers a wide range of courses including domestic, commercial and catering; natural gas, LPG and oil; unvented and electrical.

It will soon be offering an accredited solar thermal course; Baxi Group has provided a Baxi Solarflo solar thermal hot water system for the centre, and local heateam senior engineer William McCluskie will be on hand to help install it.

George Loudon explains why the company has been so successful.

"This is a small family business and we pride ourselves on the standard of service and equipment we provide for our customers.

During assessments when nerves are running high, we take every care to make the atmosphere as relaxed as possible.

"Many of our customers come back, time after time, to be reassessed and to get up to date with new products and legislation.

Our partnership with Baxi Group means we can work together to provide installers with hands-on experience of the latest products.

And we can help them add to that knowledge with advice on the best product to specify, where to install it and how to sell it".

National Training Manager for Baxi Group, Steve Owen adds: "We have had a very good, very close relationship with George and his team for a number of years.

The new Baxi Group training suite means that we have an extremely well appointed training facility for our Scottish installers.
