Videx Security has introduced a new interface which provides a wireless link between an external door station and an internal telephone.

Videx Security has introduced a new interface which provides a wireless link between an external door station and an internal telephone.

The units operate on Dect technology (Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications).

This allows a distance of up to 100 metres between the door station and the internal telephone.

The new interface will operate with the full range of 1 button 3+1 and 4+1 audio door entry kits and incorporates 2 Dect interface units which are IP rated for external use.

One Dect interface unit is required for the door station and one unit for the internal telephone.

Each Dect unit has one auxiliary input and one auxiliary output.

Enabling the input of one unit will operate the output of the receiving unit.

Total privacy of a conversation between the door station and telephone handset is ensured as the individual units are coded to match each other and give noise free reception.

The system will also operate with the popular Art380 telephone interface and future enhancements will include a digital door panel interface.

Full details of the Dect system.
