Improved thermal performance with Jablite Premium

Jablite Premium is an innovative Low Lambda expanded polystyrene (EPS) material that gives an improved thermal performance of up to 20 per cent, compared to traditional insulation materials.

With over thirty years of experience supplying the construction industry with Jablite insulation, Vencel Resil has launched new 'Jablite Premium'.

Developed in response to the latest update to Part L Building Regulations and the introduction of the Code for Sustainable Homes which requires insulation materials to perform even better, Jablite Premium enables contractors and developers to retain existing build practices whilst meeting the insulation requirements.

Jablite Premium retains all the excellent attributes inherent with expanded polystyrene as well as offering increased thermal performance.

It is easy and safe to handle on site and requires no specialist skills or protective equipment.

Architects, specifiers and contractors alike can be assured that the material being used on site is that which was originally specified thanks to its distinctive grey board with orange speckles, thus providing the reassurances that the building will perform as originally expected.

As with Jablite EPS, Jablite Premium is non-toxic, biologically inert and durable, which means its thermal properties will remain stable for the lifetime of the building.

Vencel Resil has developed a wide range of products suitable for floors, walls and roofs from the Jablite Premium material.

Jablite Premium when used as floor insulation is known as Jabfloor Premium and can be used below a sand or cement screed, above a concrete slab, precast suspended concrete floor or beam and block floor system, both for domestic and commercial applications.

Jabfill Premium is a full-fill cavity-wall insulation system designed to be incorporated into new masonry walls during construction to satisfy Building Regulations U-value requirements.

The insulation boards are designed with a tongued and grooved edge allowing for a robust fit on all four sides; and a fluted face which directs moisture down the outer surface of the board.

Jabfill Premium negates the need for a "third" wall during construction and requires no specialist clips or walls ties for installation.

Extremely versatile in its application, Jablite Premium also provides the core insulation material used within Jabroof SlimFix, the structural insulated roof system ideal for room-in-the-roof constructions.

This is an ideal way to add extra space in a building without increasing the footprint, with the added benefit of vastly reducing build-time on site.

Use of Jablite Premium in these structural insulated panels ensures the very best thermal performance.

Jablite Premium is available as Reaction to Fire Class E, containing a flame-retardant additive.

As with all products under the Jablite brand, the material and its associated products are manufactured to the requirements of BS EN 13163.

Vencel Resil has released a technical datasheet to assist with the specification and installation of the material.

The datasheet contains information on the thermal conductivity of Jablite Premium, its performance and its compressive strength, as well as diagrams showing its applications as floor and cavity wall insulation.
