VEKA's new CPD seminar gains RIBA approval
New CPD seminar from VEKA has been approved by RIBA, with presentations now in great demand with architects, social housing providers and other building professionals.
CPD (Continued Professional Development) seminars are designed to help people stay abreast of any changes within the industry, broaden their understanding of a particular subject and therefore work most effectively within their field.
VEKA's National Commercial Sales Manager Trevor Ranns has been presenting the latest seminar "A sustainable specification for PVC-U windows and doors" to great response.
It addresses a number of very important issues including 'Performance standards', 'material properties and embodied energy', 'lifecycle and environmental aspects' and 'sustainability, end of life policy and recycling'.
RIBA has been in existence since 1834 to 'advance architecture and promote excellence in the profession', which is why it demands the highest quality presentations from its CPD providers.
RIBA continually evaluates VEKA's seminar material to ensure it remains relevant, informative, interesting and valuable.
Trevor believes the seminars are vitally important to the glazing sector as a whole.
"Our industry sees far too many projects which, through poor consultation and specification, end up failing to achieve their full life cycle potential and they actually cost the client more in the long term.
"This seminar provides excellent consultation to the professional specification sector, using information which is generic, verifiable and most importantly - independent.
Those attending the seminar receive a CPD certificate, which acts as a part of ongoing qualifications.
