Verder pumping solution for Johnson
Matthey
Verder have provided Johnson Matthey in Enfield with the answer to a difficult fume scrubber application with the installation of a Verdermag TB Series pump with an 11KW motor.
Previous to the use of a Verder pump, two other makes of mag drive pumps were lasting least than a month before failure occurred In discussion with Mike Gould of Johnson Matthey, Verder recommended a mag drive ETFE lined pump that has been designed to pump liquids with a solids percentage of up to 20% The pump was provided on a trial basis for a period of six months and on completion of this Mike Gould, the Maintenance Manager expressed his complete satisfaction with the pump and agreed to keep it in service
In total the pump ran for a period of 18 months when it was removed for inspection and returned to us for run testing and evaluation.
Johnson Matthey have now bought a number of these pumps for various applications on their Enfield site.
