Document management and imaging company, Version One, shortlisted for FOUR separate Information Management Awards.

Document management and imaging company, Version One, is celebrating after being shortlisted for FOUR separate Information Management Awards.

Version One's DbCapture and DbArchive solutions have each been shortlisted for both the Document Management Product award and Product of the Year categories.

The Information Management 2005 (IM2005) Awards recognise European excellence and innovation in the management of business information.

"We are thrilled that the judges have recognised the impact DbCapture and DbArchive are having on business processes".

"By implementing these paperless office solutions, organisations can enjoy huge increases in productivity, significantly reduced costs and a very fast return-on-investment", explains Tony Bray, director of Version One.

Through tight integration with all the major Accounting and ERP systems, DbCapture and DbArchive enable the automatic storage, retrieval, management, enhancement and delivery of business documents.

Launched this year, DbCapture uses the latest Artificial Intelligence and Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technologies to dramatically reduce manual data entry and paper-based processes.

The solution automatically extracts data from key fields when an incoming document, such as an invoice, is scanned-in.

DbCapture can also validate the extracted data against the accounting system (eg supplier details, purchase orders, GRNs) and automatically highlight discrepancies for the attention of the operator.

DbArchive removes the need for traditional paper-based document storage by automatically archiving all outgoing and incoming documents.

With DbArchive, images of documents are just a 'mouse-click' away and can be retrieved in seconds.

The winners of the IM2005 Awards will be announced on 1st December 2005 at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
