Version One means 80% cut in manual data entry
With Version One's integrated technology, Agresso users simply scan-in a batch of documents, such as invoices.
International business management software author Agresso formed a partnership with document management and imaging company, Version One.
Agresso will now have Version One's intelligent document capture software, DbCapture, integrated into its Business World ERP system, enabling Agresso users to significantly reduce the time and costs associated with the manual data entry of incoming documents such as supplier invoices, purchase orders (POs) and remittance advices.
With Version One's integrated technology, Agresso users simply scan-in a batch of documents, such as invoices.
DbCapture then automatically recognises document type and supplier by each document's unique characteristics and the relevant references and amounts are then automatically highlighted, extracted and validated before being uploaded into Agresso Business World.
Terry Donelly Strategic Partner Manager from Agresso says "The integration of Version One's intelligent document capture technology will add tremendous value to the Agresso Business World system, ensuring our users enjoy a range of additional business benefits".
"Instead of users having to manually key-in all data from financial documents, which is costly, tedious and prone to error, they'll be able to automate this process by up to 80%, enabling AP staff to spend less time on data entry and more time on value-adding activities".
"DbCapture also reduces data entry errors and enables invoices to be processed more swiftly, reducing late payment penalties".
Lynne Munns, General Manager of Version One adds, "We're delighted to be Agresso's partner for document capture".
"The marriage of advanced optical character recognition with artificial intelligence technology has created a powerful and yet flexible and easy-to-use document capture system".
"As part of Agresso's integrated Business World suite, this capture system will provide users with cost and time savings as well as considerable efficiency gains".
