Adding to the already successful range of belt and direct driven Air Handling Units, Vent-Axia has launched its new modular Viking FP and XP Air Handling Range for commercial applications The new Air Handling Units provide the perfect partners to Vent-Axia's extensive Air Management range of Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning solutions providing designers with the option to control indoor air quality by room, by floor or for the entire building, whether in an office, classroom, factory, hospital or leisure centre, whilst allowing for system flexibility depending on the climatic conditions

Purpose designed for ease of installation, longevity, low noise emissions and powerful performance, the new modular Viking Air Handling Units provide a selection of cooling, heating, filtration, heat recovery and humidifier modules, allowing building designers increased flexibility in specifying solutions to meet their design and ventilation needs in line with the requirements of the Energy Performance of Buildings Directive and Building Regulations Parts F and L.

Ideal for centrally ducted systems to manage air quality in communal work areas, the Air Handling Units can be mounted on the roof, in a plant room or can be wall / ceiling mounted in applications with limited space.

Cleanly configured, the new FP/XP are of a frameless construction giving overall strength and a smooth external / internal profile.

The range is aesthetically pleasing and can be configured to fit comfortably into the fabric of the building.

The Viking FP with its slim design is ideal for installation behind suspended ceilings in offices or public buildings whilst the Viking XP is designed for floor, plant room or roof standing.

The innovative Viking Air Handling Units provide complete air management functionality with airflow from 0.189 up to 7.68 m3/s and have the ability to provide heat recovery with an efficiency of up to 80%, allowing designers to optimise the heat energy requirements whilst minimising the energy required to heat the system.

The Viking FP/XP modules can be controlled by a standard, easy to use VCB control system.

Using sophisticated technology to manage the performance of the unit, including operation on a daily timer and compensation for outside temperature and the control components facilitate a stable system with fan control and the close control of the heating, cooling, filtration, heat recovery, humidification and ventilation modules.

With highly qualified designers using the latest technologically advanced AeroCAD system, Vent-Axia will produce detailed selection information including, graphical drawings for module selection and dimensioning.

This allows each module to be simulated, providing a summation of weights, power requirements and air condition outputs as well as fully dimensioned drawings, including access requirements, enabling the specifier to select the correct Air Handling unit to match the building design requirements.

David Neale, Vent-Axia's Commercial Channel Marketing Manager comments: "Vent-Axia is about Air Management and is committed to providing better indoor air quality - this comprises of much more than hardware solutions.

Backed by sophisticated selection software we are ideally positioned as project partners, providing expert advice including Air Handling design, project management, site delivery and after sales service".

The new Vent-Axia Viking range of air handling units looks set to provide vital tools for property managers to improve the performance of their building stock, and for specifiers to add value to building design in an increasingly competitive marketplace; whilst always remaining mindful of the employees needs for a more comfortable and more healthy working environment.
