Low carbon technologies in the building industry

A The Green Register of Construction Professionals product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Mar 31, 2009

The Green Register will be holding another of its Low Carbon Technologies seminars at Bristol's Create Centre.

By 2050, Britain aims to reduce its carbon dioxide emissions by 60% of 1990 levels, and The Green Register's members are already leading the way by taking the opportunity in these quieter times to re-skill in areas such as low carbon technologies.

TGR's forthcoming event will be lead by in-house expert trainer Robert Borruso who has over 10 years experience in sustainable energy systems.

Robert said: "This course is aimed at construction professionals from all sectors of the industry".

"We'll be explaining to them the operation, application and limitations of all low carbon technologies".

The session also promises a 'future gazing' section to look at technologies that are likely to be at the forefront of sustainable energy provision as it moves into the mainstream.

Previous attendees have described the event as "very comprehensive, realistic and practical" and testimonials show that the knowledge gained will have a significant impact their approach to current projects.

TGR advocates a wholly practical approach and this event provides a unique opportunity for construction professionals to gain knowledge how low carbon buildings will be delivered to the mainstream and the tools and understanding they will need to develop in order to be at the forefront of this exciting and challenging field.

Low Carbon Technologies seminars on 2nd April at Bristol's Create Centre.
