Berkeley Homes choose Vicaima Portaro door kit
Vicaima's new Portaro door kit has been selected by Berkeley Homes as the front entrance for 75 apartments at its flagship new development in Kent.
The dark wood veneers create a striking contrast against the fitted cream carpets, cream coloured kitchen doors in a high gloss finish and jasmine white emulsion walls.
The classy walnut effect has also been extended to the stair tread in a complementary walnut wood finish that leads to the second level of the apartment.
Louise Tegerdine of specialist London-based designers Tegerdine Associates who selected the doors said: "Walnut veneers are rapidly becoming the wood finish of choice for designer living in 2006".
"Far from being dark and sombre, when combined with cream carpets and walls they provide a beautiful juxtaposition".
"When darkness is an issue, designs that use glazing and inlays in the doors allow light and pattern to be cast throughout the interior".
The Cassio Metro penthouses offer the ultimate in luxury living with a dedicated concierge service, secure undercroft parking, spacious balconies for outdoor dining and a private leisure club with a gym, swimming pool and spa.
