Vistamatic panels offer privacy for patients

A Vistamatic product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Feb 19, 2010

Vistamatic glazed secure vision panels have been installed at a dementia and Alzheimer's treatment centre.

The Crystal Centre which is managed by the North Essex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, specified the secure vision panels to provide manual access control via natural surveillance, and to allow nursing staff to discreetly check on patients without disturbance.

Naushad Jojeeb, operational services manager at the centre describes the secure vision panels as enabling the centre to carry out "respectful treatment.

For maximum safety and security within the Crystal Centre, the panels feature toughened glass and are operated by a lever from inside a room and a key from outside a room.
