New aerial maximises reception for digital TV
Vision Products has introduced the approved Trident 2 antenna which now provides an excellent signal even in areas of poor TV reception.
Builders are increasingly specifying and fitting sophisticated multiple TV installations in houses and flats.
Quality reception, especially of digital TV, also requires a high quality aerial.
Vision Products has introduced the approved Trident 2 antenna which now provides an excellent signal even in areas of poor TV reception.
Many viewers have been unable to receive satisfactory signals for digital Freeview TV; the new Trident 2 is designed to overcome such problems as well as providing superior reception in better signal areas.
Vision has thoroughly researched the demanding requirements for digital TV reception and now introduces a sensitive wideband aerial with high gain along with excellent directivity to minimise unwanted signals.
The superior gain and directivity is achieved by utilising a "Stacked Yagi".
The high quality match provided by the "SupermatchT" balun increases signal level, reduces noise and contributes to a clearer picture and better sound.
The new design includes improved mechanical performance; it is rugged, compact, rigid, light and strong and incorporates durable 18mm square boom sections.
The design ensures low wind load to minimise the risk of storm damage.
To achieve the high quality and ensure long operational life each aerial is assembled using precision computer controlled automated machinery.
Aerial installers were also consulted over the new design.
An F connector weatherproof cable connection assembly gives improved connectivity and repeatability.
No tools are needed to connect the connector to the aerial, future upgrades such as multi-room amplifiers etc.
are faster and simple to connect using the F connector.
"We are delighted with this new aerial design which builds on our dominance in the UK aerial market", remarked Richard Stallworthy, Product Manager of Vision.
"We know that the Trident 2 will be a great success with installers and consumers because it makes the installers' job easier and gives the viewer the improved signals that are now demanded.".
