Safety and compliance with CENELEC standards.

A Vision Products (Europe) product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Feb 19, 2007

Vision fast new earthing connections for TV aerial cables ensures safety and compliance with CENELEC standards.

Regulations originated by CENELEC (Comite Europeen de Normalisation Electrotechnique) stipulate that a TV aerial cable is bonded to earth.

This can be very difficult since such earthing facilities were not integrated into the majority of buildings.

Vision has studied this challenge and has developed a range of innovative earthing solutions.

The principal innovation is a standard F type connector, which incorporates an additional earth point terminal - allowing an earth wire or busbar to be threaded through and secured with a fastening screw.

This simple design will fit almost any F connector product, regardless of connector pitch or number of connectors.

Even multiple rows of F connectors can be quickly and securely earthed.

Commenting on the new range of earthing connections Richard Stallworthy, Product Manager at Vision said, "Installers have found it difficult, time consuming and therefore often expensive to properly comply with the earthing regulations".

"The simple and effective Vision solution will speed up installation and ensure compliance with the minimum of effort".

"The very high quality connectors have minimal effect on the signal quality and as the connectors do not mechanically stress the connected device they do not damage or degrade that item either".
