Best ventilation system on the market
Vortice is top of the class with its HRU mechanical extract ventilation system with heat recovery.
Claimed, by Vortice, to be the most versatile and efficient products in their class within the SAP Appendix Q database, the latest MVHR unit (the HRU ECO 3 RF) and MEV unit (the CVE ECO 2) have both excelled when tested to the Appendix Q methodologies.
Surpassing every other ventilation system on the market, the performances of both units can be entered into SAP appendix Q to improve upon the default values and help towards lowering CO2 emissions.
Tested on a kitchen plus up to 7 additional wet rooms, the HRU mechanical extract ventilation system with heat recovery has re-set the benchmark and established itself as the ideal product for residential dwellings and those with multiple bath/shower rooms and shared Kitchens such as student accommodation and nursing homes.
With a heat recovery efficiency of between 86% and 93%, the HRU ECO 3 RF far exceeds the minimum standards set out in Building Regulation Part L.
The unit incorporates two RF remote control switches and has an automatic, integral 100% Summer Bypass plus Automatic Frost Protection.
The CVE ECO 2 provides quiet uninterrupted extract ventilation from all wet rooms, and its low consumption DC motor ensures regular, controlled energy efficient ventilation.
Hidden away in the loft or cupboard, this individually adjustable system is ideally suited to new build family homes and low and high-rise apartment buildings and tested to a Kitchen plus up to 4 wet rooms.
The unit is available as a two speed hard wired version or with a single, 3 speed RF remote control switch.
Both units fully comply with the improved standards as set in Energy Saving Trust "Demonstrating Compliance - Best Practice (2006 edition)".
This guide is referenced in the new Code for Sustainable Homes and shows the range of ventilation system performances suitable for designs achieving Level 3 and beyond.
