Most efficient ventilation system on the market

A Vortice product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Dec 4, 2007

Latest MEV unit, the CVE ECO 2, is claimed, by Vortice, to be the most versatile and efficient product in its class within the SAP Appendix Q database.

Surpassing every other ventilation system on the market, the performance of the CVE ECO 2 has been independently tested by the Building Research Establishment (BRE) to the appropriate SAP Appendix Q test methodology and is Appendix Q eligible.

Helping to improve upon the default values and, in turn, lower CO2 emissions, the CVE ECO 2 is equipped with low consumption DC motors that ensure the unit functions more efficiently, with a much higher efficiency than 'conventional' MEV models.

Providing quiet, uninterrupted extract ventilation from all wet rooms, the CVE ECO 2 ensures regular, controlled, energy efficient ventilation.

Hidden away in the loft or cupboard, this very compact, individually adjustable system is ideally suited to new build family homes, as well as apartment buildings.

Available with a three speed RF remote control switch, the unit also offers a two speed hard wired version.

Tested on its efficiency when used in a kitchen along with up to four wet rooms, the unit fully complies with System 3 as detailed in the Building Regulations Approved Document Part F 2006: Means of Ventilation (England and Wales), BRE Digest 398 (Scotland), Energy Saving Trust "Demonstrating Compliance - Best Practice (2006 edition)" as referenced in The Code for Sustainable Homes.
