Originally built by the Vanessa Redgrave Educational Trust and now run by the Royal Hammersmith and Fulham Borough Council, the Nursery's refurbishment features bespoke cubicles all scaled down to child friendly sizes, with shaped solid laminate doors, calming pastel colours and the innovative use of the duct panels for additional storage space.
The design and build contract had to be completed within 5 weeks during the summer recess and was also limited to a very tight budget that nevertheless called for a creative design interpretation from Washroom Washroom, as well as quality fittings and durability.
To ensure the refurbished areas are up to the task partitions, vanities, carcases and sinks for wet play areas were all finished in Corian for maximum durability.
