Washroom Joinery success at Hertford hotel

A Washroom Washroom product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 7, 2008

Washroom Joinery has successfully helped restore a prestigious 300-year-old Hertford hotel to its former glory after being appointed to manufacture, design and install a comprehensive joinery package.

Located in the heart of an historic market town, the Hertford House Hotel has undergone complete refurbishment.

In the dining room, Washroom Joinery created a stylish oak veneered bar complete with a feature drum shaped corner to provide an attractive focal point that has been further complemented by the co-ordinating servery, entrance doors, tables and chairs.

The historical character of the hotel has been successfully captured by the contrasting use of traditional wood veneers, with the bar's striking zinc counter top adding a touch of modern sophistication.

To help create a great first impression, Washroom Joinery also designed and installed the hotel's new reception desk.

Fabricated from white Corian, the elegant yet understated counter adds further interest to the hotel's stylish and relaxed interior design scheme.

The use of natural finishes has also been continued in each of the hotel's 22 bedrooms, with the inclusion of attractive mini-bars finished in oak or walnut veneer.

Selected to remain in keeping with the hotel's Georgian character whilst providing a modern and welcoming environment, the materials specified for use on this project were also chosen in order to meet the highest standards of quality and durability.
