New Global Product Manager For InfoNet Wallingford
Stuart Dodd has been appointed as the first global product manager for InfoNet, Wallingford Software's Network Information Management system for water and wastewater network infrastructure.
Wallingford Software, one of the world's leading developers of network data management and hydraulic modelling software, has announced the appointment of Stuart Dodd as the company's first global product manager for InfoNet, Wallingford Software's Network Information Management system for water and wastewater network infrastructure.
In addition, Mr Dodd assumes UK responsibility for the sale of InfoWorks WS, Wallingford Software's hydraulic modelling software for water supply and distribution.
'Demand for InfoNet is growing strongly,' says Mr Dodd, 'as companies recognise the value of a system that can integrate, clean, validate and store in one central database the multiplicity of files and formats that contain asset data on their networks GIS, models, field data, customer management data and so on.
InfoNet's strong viewing and reporting capabilities enable a wide range of users operations, maintenance engineers and managers - to view and use network data in a way never previously possible.
'For the first time ever companies can create and maintain a single, coherent and consistent view of their whole network.
This is an invaluable aid to all kinds of day-to day decision making as well as longer term infrastructure maintenance and planning.
InfoNet is particularly suitable for survey management, capital investment planning, operational reporting, network data configuration for capacity and flow analysis and rehabilitation planning.' Turning to water supply hydraulic software, Stuart Dodd commented that the UK market is a mature one.
'One outcome of this is that several existing products are beginning to show their age.
Wallingford Software however has the strongest development programme in the industry with a regular schedule of new releases with development cycles of just nine months.
As other software vendors scale down their development programs in this mature market, Wallingford Software is sustaining theirs, and continues to respond to the new requirements of its users offering new and expanded features.
This is giving Wallingford Software the edge and explains why we believe there are still major opportunities in this market-place.' With a background in engineering sales, Stuart Dodd has over twelve years' experience in the Energy and Utilities sectors.
He has been involved in the supply of Software Solutions, Consultancy and Service Level Agreements to major corporations and government agencies.
Most recently, Stuart served as a business sector manager for a major, US based, GIS vendor, and was responsible for the delivery of corporate solutions to the government sector, increasing revenue by over 200%.
