Wallingford Software unveils agenda for 2005 International User Conference

The 2005 International User Conference, due to take place in the stylish surroundings of Wallingford Software's UK headquarters at Howbery Park, Oxfordshire, on the 14th and 15th of September, will present its strongest agenda to date.

The agenda is published on Wallingford Software's website at http://www.wallingfordsoftware.com/userconf2005/agenda.asp .

Over 25 high-caliber external speakers from as far away as the US, Australia, New Zealand and China will join Wallingford Software experts.

Together they will provide delegates from around the world with insights into the functionality and application of InfoWorks software in water supply and distribution, collection systems and river and flood simulation and InfoNet, the asset and data management system for water networks.

Speakers will include Igor Vassiliev, representing the city of Cocoa, in the US, who will examine the use of InfoWorks WS for small systems, and Lucia Costa of Italian company AIMAG will present details of the Kathita Kiirua Water Project in Kenya.

InfoWorks' ability to aid in the response to emergency situations will be well represented - Maurice Jones of Fluid Systems Engineering will look at Jamaica's use of InfoWorks WS to help solve the country's post-hurricane Dennis distribution system emergency, and Roger Bettess of HR Wallingford will present details of InfoWorks RS's key role in the investigation into the flash floods that struck the town of Boscastle in Cornwall, UK.

Other confirmed speakers at the event include John Hately of Severn Trent Water, who will present the extensive use of InfoNet within his company, and Adam Dean of Ewan Group, whose presentation will focus on Latvia's wastewater model.

Paul Banfield, Sales Director of Wallingford Software, explains that the range of presentations offers a busy and valuable two days for all attendees.

"We have a very full agenda across all our disciplines.

The breadth on offer, by application and by geography, means that everyone attending has the chance to learn about successful and innovative projects in their own area of interest.

"Our International User Conference has always had two objectives - valuable presentations on the application of our software around the world, and a unique opportunity for delegates and speakers to network with their counterparts in other organizations.

This year's agenda and delegate list promise that once again these objectives will be met in full.".
