Wallingford Software, the global leader in the development of data management and network modeling software to support planning and operations in water distribution, sewerage, river management and coastal engineering, today issued a call for papers for their International User Conference 2006 to be held on 14th and 15th September in the UK.
As in previous years, the International User Conference will attract delegates from water utilities, engineering consultancies, and academia from across the world.
The two-day programme will be divided into three core streams covering the main water disciplines of water supply (InfoWorks WS), collection systems (InfoWorks CS), river systems and flood management and forecasting (InfoWorks RS and FloodWorks).
This year an additional stream dedicated to network data management and Wallingford Software's InfoNet solution will supplement the programme.
Papers are expected from Europe, North and Central America, Asia and Australasia.
Announcing the call for papers, Sales Director of Wallingford Software Paul Banfield said: "Wallingford Software's International User Conference is now established on the worldwide water industry calendar as one of the premier events within the hydraulic network community".
"As well as providing a vital interface with our customers that contributes to our product development process, the International User Conference is well regarded for the sheer breadth and depth of its presentations, particularly user case studies".
"The conference is an ideal opportunity to discover how others from around the world are applying the latest developments in hydraulic modelling software in real world situations." The 7th International Conference will be held at Wallingford Software's UK headquarters at Howbery Park in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.
This prestigious site alongside the River Thames is the historic centre of hydrological research in the UK.
In addition to Wallingford Software, Howbery Park is also home to HR Wallingford, the UK government's Environment Agency and the Centre for Hydrology and Ecology.
