Wallingford Software User Conference
Call for Papers for Wallingford Software's 9th International User Conference, the annual gathering of the world's leading hydraulic modeling and asset management professionals.
Increased demand means that Wallingford Software's International User Conference, which takes places from 16th-18th September, moves to a new venue for 2008.
"In order to accommodate the increasing numbers of people wishing to attend, we have decided to move the event to the nearby Crowne Plaza Hotel on the banks of the Thames," explains Sales Director, Paul Banfield.
"As a result more people will be able to attend, the hotel's facilities will be more appropriate for the numbers involved and, for the first time, we can host the event overlooking the UK's most famous waterway - the River Thames".
The International User Conference which is held each September attracts water engineers from across the globe keen to share expertise, network and learn the very latest developments in modeling and network data management from Wallingford Software's team of internationally renowned engineers.
Announcing the 'Call for Papers', Paul Banfield, Wallingford Software's Sales and Marketing Director, anticipates an even more dynamic event than in 2007: "Last year's event was marked by the phenomenal launch of InfoWorks 2D which generated a huge level of interest and immediate sales".
"As a result I anticipate that this year users will present the first in depth case studies using our latest products".
"Plus - given the tremendous growth we've experienced this year - the 2008 event has the potential to be the largest international gathering of water engineers ever hosted in the UK".
The packed three-day programme of user case studies and technical presentations will follow a similar structure as last year.
The first and second days will be divided into three core streams covering the main water disciplines of wastewater and stormwater (InfoWorks CS/SD), water supply (InfoWorks WS), river systems and coastal engineering (InfoWorks RS) and flood management and forecasting (FloodWorks).
The third day is dedicated to Wallingford Software's InfoNet asset management solution.
Papers are expected from Europe, North and Central America, SE Asia, China and Australasia.
Individuals interested in contributing a paper must submit their proposals no later than Friday 18th July.
