Ongoing Investment Heralds Exciting Changes

From January 2004, Sherburn based Ward Building Components will be divided into two distinct business units.

The insulated panels division will trade as Ward Insulated Panels Limited.

This division has benefited from a ?10 million investment over the past two years and has developed a number of innovative new insulated panel products most notably Ward Topdek.

The commercial team at Ward Insulated Panels Limited remains unchanged and the same friendly approach to doing business and supporting the needs of all customers continues.

The Ward structural products division will trade as Kingspan Metl-Con Limited.

This change follows the news that the parent, Kingspan Group plc, has approved a major investment in new products and associated world class manufacturing equipment.

This will equal the investment made in the Ward Insulated Panels division to enhance the value chain of products to building investors, designers, engineers and current customers.

The widely respected product brand names MULTIBEAM, MULTIDECK and MULTICHANNEL will be prefixed by Kingspan.

The market opportunities presented for offsite construction solutions has driven the creation of Kingspan Metl-Con Limited in response to growing market demand in PFI, schools, hospitals, SLAM units and student accommodation.

The existing team will continue to provide the usual high level of product support and services for the structural product range to its valued existing customers and prospects.

A senior company spokesperson stated: "This investment ensures both businesses have undivided management focus to meet growing demand in both product sectors and increase our product value chain to all customers and the confidence in all employees at the Sherburn site.".
