Ward Topdek creates stunning finish on school
Topdek, Ward's insulated single ply roofdeck, has been used to create a stunning roof on a brand new primary school in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.
The existing structure was exposed where necessary to provide an interface for the installation of the over-roofing system.
Ward TopDek pre-insulated membrane roof panel was fixed over the lightweight steel framework to create a pitched over-roofing solution with a subtle one degree roof pitch.
Gary Slawson of roofing contractors, MITIE Roofing, said: "The innovative roofing solution designed by Ward and MITIE was cost effective, time efficient and fitted the client's requirements exactly.
The finished effect has extended the life of the building and dramatically improved its appearance".
The finishing touch for this project was provided by Ward single skin wall cladding in Big Yellow's signature bright yellow.
The cladding was fixed over the existing brickwork to provide an eye-catching finish to this refurbishment project.
