Topdek Ensures Top Flight Performance
Topdek insulated membrane roof deck panels from Ward Insulated Panels was chosen by architects Bradford and Robertson on a new curved roof project at Glasgow Prestwick International Airport.
A total of 14,000 mư of Ward Topdek was chosen for the project to create a new maintenance facility for Goodrich, part of the US aerospace giant All new buildings at the Park must comply with an overall development master plan

Ward Topdek was specified due to a combination of its aesthetic and insulation properties.
Ward Topdek is a factory pre-engineered composite roof panel that facilitates considerably faster on-site installation compared to traditional multi part single ply roofing assemblies.
It comprises a proven high performance single-ply PVC outer membrane integrally bonded with a Firesafe rigid PIR core and a trapezoidal profiled steel inner deck for structural strength.
This system features no through fixings for superior insulating properties.
A unique self-coring screw is utilised with Topdek which permits faster, single process fixing, saving valuable installation time.
Approved Ward Topdek contractor, Thomas Devon, completed the installation.

The speed at which we were able to install the roof was quite remarkable and provided the project with cover very quickly indeed.
The roof took only five weeks in total to install, thanks to the all in one Topdek solution.
The client was very impressed with the results." The architects who specified Topdek for Goodrich Corporation were Bradford Robertson.
