A combination of Ward insulated wall and roof panels has been used at a new Community Centre in Wednesbury, Birmingham.

The new building, which is due to open in October, will serve as a local Community Centre and incorporates a residential block and prayer hall for the Sikh community in Wednesbury.

Project Architects Tweedale Ltd specified Ward DW1000 flat wall panels in Hamlet to create a contemporary finish for the new Community Centre which is based on Potter's Lane.

Ward DR1000 secret fix roof panels in Goosewing Grey were used for the main building and extension block, totalling 1,200m2.

Roger Hawkins, Senior Technician at Tweedale comments: "We have extensive experience working with Ward Insulated Panels having specified these products on a number of previous projects.

Ward is a reputable company and the high performance product and ease of use made it ideal for this tightly budgeted project." Ward insulated roof and wall panel systems comply with the latest Part L2 and J building regulations and incorporate an LCPB and FM approved Firesafe core.

The main contractors for the Wednesbury Community Centre were Model Builders (Birmingham) Ltd.
