Ward Topdek Success At Tesco Warrington
Ward Insulated Panels has joined forces with Robertson Roofing to provide and install Ward Topdek insulated membrane roofing system on a new Tesco Extra store located in Warrington, Cheshire.
Ward Topdek is fast gaining momentum as a real alternative to traditional built-up single ply systems offering substantially faster on-site assembly It comprises a choice of proven high performance single-ply PVC outer membranes combined with a firesafe rigid PIR core and a steel trapezoidal deck for structural strength

Topdek offers excellent insulation properties and outstanding air leakage performance.The Tesco store in Warrington achieved a low air leakage rating just 1.37m3/hr/m2 (against the current regulation air leakage figure of 10 m?/hr/m?).
Topdek is also approved to LPCB insurer standards as part of the Ward Firesafe range of roof panels.
The store on Winwick Road features 13,000 m2 of Ward Topdek, which was installed by approved Ward contractor Robertson Roofing.
John Mulvey, Regional Director at Robertson Roofing confirms: 'We have a lot of experience in installing Ward Topdek and have always found it to be a preferred solution, combining ease of installation, aesthetic flexibility and approved fire-retardant properties.
It is fast to install which is especially good news for Tesco, enabling the doors to be opened to customers on time to get the tills ringing quickly!" Robertson Roofing, has now completed eight stores using Ward Topdek.
The main contractor for the Tesco Warrington store was Barr Construction.
