A Ward Insulated Panels product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jan 6, 2005

Ward insulated roof and wall panels were chosen as the preferred cladding system on retail units based at Kingsway West Retail Park in Dundee.

Ward DR and DW insulated roof and wall panels are part of the Firesafe range available from Ward Insulated Panels based in Sherburn, North Yorkshire and are approved to LCPB standards.

Ward supplied DR1000 roof panel in goosewing grey for the Homebase store, which incorporates Brett Martin Daylight Systems' site assembled triple skin GRP rooflights into the 3200mē curved roof.

Ward DW1000 secret fix panels in metallic silver were used on the walls to complete the building and create a contemporary and bright finish for the Retail Park.

Project architects Ritchie Dagen + Allan Architects specified Ward insulated panels due to the speed of installation and aesthetic appeal.

Dave Smith, Architect at Ritchie, Dagen and Allan comments: "We have extensive experience in using Ward products, which offer excellent thermal insulation properties and are both quick and easy to install".

" The composite roof panel was specified due to its ability to curve".

" " Sheeting Contractor's Solway Structural Steel completed the installation for the Homebase project which was managed by Barr Construction.
