Ward helps tennis stars of the future

Ward Insulated Panels has supplied a complete insulated wall and roof solution to Draycott Sports Centre, a facility which could play a major part in the development of the UK's future tennis stars.

Draycott Sports Centre has recently completed the project which includes two new indoor tennis courts, the only indoor courts in North Staffordshire The new facilities, which were part-funded by the Lawn Tennis Association, are already being used to ensure year-round training of junior tennis players from the age of 4 to 18

With the completion of the new indoor courts, juniors from across North Staffordshire have access to top quality facilities without having to travel extensive distances.

The roof and walls of the building, which was constructed by Swinson Contractors of Stoke on Trent, were clad with 2,700m2 of Ward IP1000 through-fixed insulated panels coated with Ward XL200 external weather sheet in willow green.

George Havill, manager of Draycott Sports Centre, said: "The building is magnificent and represents a really exciting development for tennis in North Staffordshire".

"This facility is totally fit-for-purpose".

"It was designed with the future of the area's junior tennis players in mind and has already become invaluable to a number of clubs".

The Ward Trapezoidal IP1000 Panel is a through fixed composite panel which can be laid horizontally or vertically on wall applications.

It is suitable for a wide range of commercial and industrial building applications.
