Ward Topdek tops off new student accommodation

Ward Insulated Panels' single-ply roofing solution, Topdek, has topped off striking new student accommodation in Sheffield city centre.

Churchmore , of Appleton in Cheshire, used 3,500 m2 of Topdek because it was quick to install and cost effective.

Topdek insulated roofing panels completed the new accommodation blocks on Alma Street, which provide students with a modern living space within easy access of the city centre.

The main contractor for the project was Clegg Construction of Nottingham.

Topdek is a factory pre-engineered single fix roofdeck which is suitable for flat, pitched or curved roofs.

It incorporates Wards' FIREsafe insulation core which is LPCB (Loss Prevention Certification Board) certified and has zero ODP (ozone depletion potential).

Topdek has been designed to guarantee total insulation continuity, and by assisting in creating a uniform building envelope, Topdek has been proven to minimise air leakage, reducing building energy costs and CO2 emissions.
